Mindset & Beliefs

I Used to Believe I Couldn’t Think Big. Then I Changed the Sentence.

12 September 2026

I used to say something very often:

“I can’t think big.”

It wasn't a one-time thought. I repeated it enough that it became a belief.

Whenever someone talked about thinking bigger, setting ambitious goals, or imagining extraordinary success, a part of me simply couldn't go there.

I had a ceiling.

And I didn't even realize I had created it.

Then I started saying something different

I began repeating:

“I can think big.”

The interesting part?

I didn't believe it at first.

I just repeated it.

Again and again.

I can think big. I can think big. I can think big.

Maybe those repetitions were my own little waves of manifestation. I don't know exactly when it happened, but gradually, something shifted.

My mind started becoming comfortable with bigger possibilities.

I started noticing that I could think beyond what I had previously considered realistic.

And then came something that genuinely surprised me.

I realized my ceiling had disappeared

There was a time when I couldn't imagine earning even ₹1 lakh a month.

The number felt huge.

Today, I can think of something as outrageous as ₹100 crore a day.

Now, am I saying I have a guaranteed ₹100 crore-a-day income?

No.

That's not what this is about.

What surprised me was something else.

When I thought about that number, my first reaction wasn't:

“That's impossible for me.”

Instead, I caught myself thinking:

“Why am I assuming there has to be a ceiling?”

And that stopped me.

Because I suddenly saw how dramatically my thinking had changed.

The number wasn't the breakthrough.

The disappearance of the mental ceiling was.

The woman who once said “I can't think big” had become someone who couldn't automatically accept that there was a limit to what she could imagine for herself.

And I am incredibly proud of that shift.

This is what manifestation means to me

I don't believe manifestation means sitting back and waiting for the universe to do everything.

For me, manifestation starts with believing that a goal is possible and that it can happen.

That belief changes the way I see things.

It changes what I am willing to consider.

It changes the actions I am willing to take.

And I believe the universe can then bring the thoughts, situations, people, triggers, opportunities and guidance that help reveal the path forward.

But I still have to walk the path.

The universe doesn't take action on my behalf.

I do.

That's an important distinction for me.

Why I believe in affirmations

This experience is also why I believe in affirmations.

Not because I think repeating a sentence magically guarantees an outcome.

I believe affirmations can help us create evidence that a different way of thinking is possible.

I didn't believe “I can think big” when I started saying it.

But repetition made the thought familiar.

Familiarity made it easier to consider.

Considering it allowed me to act differently.

And acting differently gave me evidence.

Eventually, the affirmation didn't feel so much like an affirmation anymore.

It started becoming a belief.

I didn't believe it first. I repeated it first. The belief came later.

Maybe abundance begins here

We often think scarcity means worrying about money.

But scarcity can be much more subtle.

It can sound like:

I can't do that.

That's not for someone like me.

I'm being unrealistic.

I should be satisfied with what I have.

People like me don't achieve things like that.

Sometimes the biggest limitation isn't what's actually possible.

It's what we have allowed ourselves to imagine as possible.

Today, I don't know what my ceiling is.

And for me, that's an incredibly freeing place to be.

I am not claiming that everything I imagine will automatically happen.

I'm saying something simpler:

I am no longer willing to decide in advance how far I can go.

That, to me, is abundance.

And perhaps your transformation can begin with one sentence too.

What is one belief about yourself that you're ready to challenge?

And what would happen if, instead of immediately believing the new possibility, you simply started saying:

I can.
